          Please refer to this Council’s circular of even number dated 21st January, 2015 advising our Members not to get  their carpets/durries woven on the looms,  who have been deregistered/ blacklisted for violation of the Code of Conduct of this Council.

 

       We are once again forwarding you  details of 57 units/ looms where 148 illegal children were found weaving of carpets during survey undertaken by an independent agency engaged by this Council.

 

       We would once again advise you not to get your carpets/durries woven on these deregistered/ blacklisted looms. In case any Member is reported to be getting his/her carpet/durries woven on such looms, action will be taken against those Member-Exporters as per provisions of Code of Conduct of the Council. 

 

     We would request our members to co-operate in strengthening the self regulatory measures initiated by this Council for the total elimination of Child Labour from the Carpet Industry.
