Further to this Council’s circular of even number dated 6th January, 2010 intimating you for convening of the adjourned 26th Annual General Meeting (AGM), Elections and appointment of Statutory Auditors of the Carpet Export Promotion Council on 28th January, 2010 (Thursday) at Hotel Radisson MBD, NOIDA.
In this connection we would like to inform you that the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi ordered on 14th January, 2010 for reschedule of the election process from the stage of scrutiny of nomination papers which were rejected on the ground of non-production of the Resolution of the Proposer or Seconder firm or company, as the case may be, and further passed orders for submission of such resolution to the Council by them on or before 25th January, 2010. The re-scrutiny of all such rejected nominations shall take place on 27th January, 2010 as per orders of the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi.
Accordingly, in view of the aforesaid orders of the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi the Election Schedule as notified vide above referred circular is cancelled and , therefore, the circular No. CEPC/SEC/ELE-18/Cir. No. 5/ 2009 dated 7th January, 2010 together with Postal Ballot Papers shall be treated as cancelled. The fresh schedule of Election i.e. date of withdrawal of nomination papers, date of issue of Valid Nominations and Postal Ballot Papers, last date for receipt of Postal Ballot Papers, date of Counting, Date of Poling and declaration of results etc. shall be notified afresh after finalization of the dates and the same shall be notified.
