The Carpet Export Promotion Council of India conducts 2 annual events under the aegis of Department of Handicrafts, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. These events enable Buyers and Sellers of Indian Carpets and Floor Coverings to come together.
These events are known as Indian Carpet Expo and are conducted once in February-March and then in October every year. Both events are very popular and attract participation from nearly 500 Buyer/Importers from world over and 200 Exhibitors of Indian Carpets. Thousands other Carpet lovers visit the fair and large business transactions take place. Apart from them, many raw material, machinery and equipment suppliers also attend the fair in large numbers.
Event 1: Indian Carpet Expo (ICE - Varanasi) in Delhi during the months of February or March every year.
Event 2: Indian Carpet Expo (ICE - Varanasi) in Varanasi during the month of October every year.
Apart from the above two events, CEPC also organizes Buyer-Seller meets coinciding with either of the above two fairs that enables visiting buyers or importers to utilize the visits to interact closely with the Indian manufacturers and exporters who are members of the Council.
