FICCI Quarterly Survey on Indian Manufacturing Sector

Printer-friendly versionSend to friend

FICCI vide their mail dated 14th Jan., 2009 informed that FICCI conducts Manufacturing Survey that tries to look into the current issues of concern to Indian Manufacturing Sector and also assesses the performance of the sector.  we are forwarding a copy of the mail of FICCI with the request to fill the enclosed questionnaire and send the same directly to FICCI with copy to this Council.

FICCI Quarterly Survey on Indian Manufacturing Sector

As you are aware, every Quarter FICCI conducts Manufacturing Survey that tries to look into the current issues of concern to Indian Manufacturing Sector and also assesses the performance of the sector for two consecutive Quarters based on your valuable feedback. The Indian Manufacturing Sector grew at the rate of 7.1% during the first seven months of the current financial year which indicates some revival of industrial activity but still remains below the 10% growth witnessed by the sector in last few years. This recovery may be fragile as it is dependent on Government stimulus measures.

In order to analyse in detail the sector-wise expected performance of Indian manufacturing sector for the Quarters October- December 2009 and January- March 2010 and also to understand whether the recovery is sustainable or not, FICCI is conducting this survey. Based on your valuable feedback, suitable suggestions would be made to the appropriate Authorities (please note: strict confidentiality in terms of respondent would be maintained).

Since your Association is the leading organization in the sector and given the importance of your sector in manufacturing, I shall be grateful if your Association could kindly give us the feedback about your sector based on the enclosed questionnaire. We would request you to kindly circulate this questionnaire amongst your members also.

We shall be grateful if you could kindly advise your office to spare some time to provide us the feedback based on the enclosed Questionnaire. We shall greatly appreciate if the feedback could be sent to Ms Nisha Goel/ Ms Shailja Garg (Tel: 011-23708065 (Direct), 23738760-70 Ext. 450; Fax: 011-23320714; Email:nisha.goel@ficci.com, shailja.garg@ficci.com) latest by 21st January 2010. In case you need any clarification, please feel free to get in touch with us.

I look forward to hearing from you.

With kind regards,

Yours sincerely,
