No. CEPC/SEC/CL/2015                            Dated: 8th May, 2015

All member of the

Carpet Export Promotion Council

Sir,

Please refer to this Council’s circular of even number dated 21st January, 2015 & 23rd March, 2015 advising our Members not to get  their carpets/durries woven on the looms,  who have been deregistered/ blacklisted for violation of the Code of Conduct of this Council. It may also be mentioned here that this Council is regularly advising its members to follow the Code of Conduct formulated by this Council for total elimination of illegal Child Labour from the Carpet Industry.

Please note that the list of de-registered looms is available on the Web-Site of the Council (www.indiancarpets.com).

We would once again advise the members not to get their carpets/durries woven on these deregistered looms. In case any Member is reported to be getting his/her carpet/durries woven on such looms, action will be taken against those Member-Exporters as per provisions of Code of Conduct of the Council and get their carpets/durries woven on the registered looms of the Council only.

We would request our members to co-operate in strengthening the self-regulatory measures initiated by this Council for the total elimination of illegal Child Labour from the Carpet Industry.

     Yours faithfully,
