“User ID” and “Password” by NSDL for Council’s Elections, 2014-15.

No. CEPC/ELE-18/2016/                            Dated : 2nd May.2016

All Eligible Voters

Council’s Elections, 2014-15.

Sub.: “User ID” and “Password” by NSDL for Council’s Elections, 2014-15.

Sir,

This has reference to web-based Elections 2014-15  for the Posts of 1st Vice-Chairman and 1/3rd Members of the Committee of Administration of this Council which are going to be held for the first time in CEPC.  We had made considerable efforts in compiling and verifying e-mails of all valid voters as some Members are still insisting to change their e-mails.

We have also been requesting NSDL to make a presentation in Bhadohi preferably on 2nd or 3rd May, 2016 to apprise the new  e-voting system for casting votes by CEPC Members but they could not confirm the same due to their other engagements.  Now they agreed to make a presentation  on 3rd May, 2016 at 4.00 p.m. in CEPC’s Office before all the contestants, Election Committee Members, Scrutinizer and Govt. appointed Observer. It may also be informed that since the time left was too short and the User ID and Password was also required to be provided to valid voters, the NSDL  have sent  the same on 29th April, 2016 late evening to CEPC’s valid voters. It has come to our notice that some of the valid voters did not receive their User ID and Password and some Members were confused. Therefore, we have to request the NSDL to cancel the User ID and Password of the Valid Voters  sent by  them on 29th April, 2016 (Friday) and requested NSDL to create Final User ID and Password which  will be sent to all the valid voters afresh  by NSDL before 5th May, 2016 i.e. the date for start of e-voting.

Therefore, all Eligible Voters of Council’s Elections, 2014-15 are requested not to use the User ID and Password already received by them as the same will not work  and use their final “User ID” and “Password” for casting e-votes  for the Posts of 1st Vice-Chairman and 1/3rd Members of the Committee of Administration for Council’s Election, 2014-15 and treat the earlier User ID and Password as cancelled. In case the e-mails of some eligible voters are bounced back the same will be sent again 2 times more by the NSDL itself and they will make all possible efforts that every member received the same.  If any of the Members still does not receive please do inform to Ms. Pallavi Mhatre, Assistant Manager of NSDL at 022-24994545 or call on Toll free number 1800-222-990; email: pallavid@nsdl.co.in/evoting@nsdl.co.in and copy to Returning Officer, CEPC for further necessary action.

     Yours faithfully,
